Creating a Safe Space for Exmormons: My Journey and Mission

As a 15-year-old, first-generation Exmormon, I have embarked on a personal journey that has led me to question and ultimately distance myself from the teachings of Joseph Smith and the LDS Church. While I am not anti-Mormon, I no longer believe in the doctrines and principles that once shaped my life.

Despite my change in beliefs, I still hold a deep appreciation for my roots and the Mormon community. I understand the challenges and complexities of leaving an organized religion, especially one as tightly knit as the LDS Church. It can be a difficult road, filled with uncertainty, doubt, and even isolation. That’s why I have made it my mission to help those who come after me.

Creating a safe space for Exmormons to come and play has become an integral part of my life’s journey. I want to provide a supportive environment where individuals who have left or are considering leaving the LDS Church can find solace, understanding, and a sense of belonging. This online space is a haven for those who may feel lost or alone in their decision to distance themselves from their Mormon upbringing.
